PLANNING- NARRATIVE IDEAS

Narrative #1

The song is called 'Younger' and is based on youth, so have decided to base my representation on age. A girls close relative dies and she decides to deal with her grieving process in a positive way by living her life to the fullest and living life while she's young. She books tickets to multiple festivals and goes to them with her best friend. The video will be focused on friendship, and summer fun. Another important representation I have decided to focus on is location as there will be a lot of travelling around in the video, like the plane/coach/train rides to festivals, as well as exploring around the beach/festival atmosphere. The video will end with the girl feeling fully satisfied with her summer and pay respects to her dead relative. The narrative will be cyclical, and will end in the same position of the girl at the relatives grave.

Narrative #2

The main representation for this video is Location. A group of friends win a holiday in a competition. They travel to the holiday, on a plane/train/coach, and a lot to focus is put on the travelling as exploring and being adventurous is a main focus to the video. When on holiday, the friends find a festival (board masters) and spontaneously attend it. The video's main themes are friendship, unity and youth. After attending the festival, the group of teens will feel inspired and excited and will attend more exciting events in their summer, such as beach trips, more festivals and day trips out, like London or theme parks. The video will conclude with the teens having gone to all the places they want to attend, and feeling fully satisfied with their summer.

Narrative #3

The representation this narrative is focusing on is age. The name of the song is 'Younger' and is based around the idea that you aren't getting any younger, so should live the best life you can while you're young. The video will begin with a group of teens in school, being bored of the pressures of being a teenager such as exams, homework, teachers and strict parents. The video will progress with the teens breaking up for summer and starting their summer of fun! They will attend events such as day trips to the beach, theme parks and festivals. The video will be a montage of the groups summer, and have positive and exciting themes based around youth and unity. The video will end with the teens summer coming to an end, and they will eventually be back at school. I think the cyclical narrative is important as it makes the video end where it started and make the video have a stronger message.
