My First Draft Reflection & what I changed
My first draft consisted of a montage of summer clips of two girls' summer.
The video's representation's are location and gender. The videos starts with the artist 'Kygo', travelling abroad, going to the beach with her friend. Then changing location to a festival, then London, then back to the festival. They meet two boys on the way who shares the rest of their summer with them.

Then changing location to a festival, then London, then back to the festival. They meet two boys on the way who shares the rest of their summer with them.
The changes I was told to make was:
- change the font of my logo and the song title, as well as adding the artists name under the song title as they look too basic
- when the singer starts singing at 0.37 seconds into the song, the change of location needs to match up to the change in the song
- at 1.50 seconds, the shot is out of focus and needs to be changed or deleted
- remove the next scene of the girls with red eyes
- the dj waving his arms needs to be slowed down to fit the pace of the music
- as there isn't much narrative, lip syncing is a good idea to lift up the performative side of the video
- include more range of shots- such as close ups
The changes I then made to my video in my second draft was removing any weak clips, like clips of the girls with red eyes or behind shots of teenagers walking in festivals that were often repeated.
I then filmed and added in clips of the artist in my video lip syncing and incorporated it into the chorus of the video, as well as embedding it in the change of locations within the video. I incorporated these shots in the clubs scene which starts when the music starts becoming upbeat and the chorus singing starts. This gave my video a performative element, as well as the narrative it already was.
